Pluckebaum Custom Boats traces it's roots to 1932 when founder Arthur Pluckebaum and his brother built a 22' runabout. Arthur Pluckebaum was asked to serve his country during World War II because of his unique ability to weld aluminum with an acetylene torch. This was a rare and valuable skill in demand by the United States Military. After the war, in 1946, Arthur built the first Pluckebaum houseboat, a craft of steel hull and wood superstructure, that would ultimately be the beginnings of Pluckebaum Custom Boats. During the years, over 600 Pluckebaum boats have been produced and Arthur has many innovations to his credit.
Today, son Dennis Pluckebaum is in charge of the firm and continues his fathers tradition of custom, all aluminum coastal cruisers and motor yachts up to 78'. Additionally, Pluckebaum will occasionally build a special purpose commercial vessel to rigid USCG certification or even a performance yacht. Pluckebaum produces only a handful of boats per year, each one custom built to the owners specifications and desires. The company has maintained a mission statement of 'crafted, never assembled' and operates on this philosophy with each new boat produced. As evidence of their enduring value, many Pluckebaum boats are built as the second, third and even fourth boat for the same owner. Quality, and classic lines help to maintain high resale value for many years!
The quality of construction is second to none and has been a proven name in the custom boat business for the last 60 years. Each and every new yacht is custom built to meet the owners specifications and exceed their expectations. If your in the market for a new or used yacht please let us show you why Pluckebaum can deliver your dream boat for about the same amount as a production boat.
